Which of these styles is best?

Just trying out a different technique for show clients the finished proof of their photo restoration. The first way is what I normally send clients. It is just a simple before and after Jpeg file, sat side by side for easy comparison. But I wondered if a GIF file that automatically changes between the two images would be better. I sometimes feel that the side by side view doesn't always show the full extent of what areas have been improved or repaired. The GIF file seems to show this better because the images are on top of each other not side by side. I'm using this Anzac Soldier to demonstrate. What do you think? Did you notice more area that had been improved in the GIF or on the side by side version? Traditional side by side Different way using GIF PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. Gallipoli Soldier just in time for Anzac Day

James brought along this wonderful photo of his granddad who served in the first world war and fought at Gallipoli, which is remembered this year after 100 years. You can read more about the battle at Gallipoli here http://www.anzac.govt.nz/gallipoliguide/  . Anzac Day is celebrated tomorrow here in New Zealand and this wonderful old photo serves as reminder of the proud and brave solders who served for their country. Jame originally just wanted the photo restored but once it was restored I suggested that it be made into colour and this has really brought this old photo to life again. Thanks Richard.  The picture is very nice. - James PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Click here for 'fancy view'
