Just trying out a different technique for show clients the finished proof of their photo restoration. The first way is what I normally send clients. It is just a simple before and after Jpeg file, sat side by side for easy comparison. But I wondered if a GIF file that automatically changes between the two images would be better. I sometimes feel that the side by side view doesn't always show the full extent of what areas have been improved or repaired. The GIF file seems to show this better because the images are on top of each other not side by side. I'm using this Anzac Soldier to demonstrate. What do you think? Diane asked me to restore this wonderful family photo so that it could be enjoyed by her family once more. The photo is actually a copy made on Kodak dye sublimation printer, which has started to delaminate and crack all over the surface of the image. If left un-restored it would eventually peel away from the backing paper and disappear forever. Saturday and still got my head down working through a pile of photo restoration work. Repairing damaged wedding photos for a customer who has rescued a pile of prescious family photos from certain death.

Leslie from Australia sent me this sad looking photo in need of some drastic colour restoration. The image is old and has discoloured badly turning everything a sickly shade of green. Whilst the rest of New Zealand was lost in rugby fever, Alex sent me this very sad looking photo hoping to get a clearer view of the house and people.
