James brought along this wonderful photo of his granddad who served in the first world war and fought at Gallipoli, which is remembered this year after 100 years. Anzac Day is celebrated tomorrow here in New Zealand and this wonderful old photo serves as reminder of the proud and brave solders who served for their country. Jame originally just wanted the photo restored but once it was restored I suggested that it be made into colour and this has really brought this old photo to life again. There are lots of old photos like these hidden away. They do represent a slice of history and as such are very important. Here is a badly damaged army photo that Jessica sent to me of her Grandfather for repair. Jessica has kindly allowed me to use the image and I am going to feature it on the website.
