Good feedback is always welcome

I just received the following feedback from another happy customer. Matt came to me with some digital photos that needed some retouching so that the photos could be kept for future generations. This was a very important family moment that he wanted to preserve for the future. I was able to touch up the photo and provided a digital copy for him to keep. By the way I am really happy with them. Thanks for that. - Matt PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Click here for 'fancy view'

Removing pen marks from photo restoration

This photo has some bad pen marks spoiling the look of this family favorite. So I removed the pen marks using the heal and clone tools in Adobe Photoshop. Then I restored the contrast and vibrancy of the colours. The photo now looks restored and ready to be enjoyed again for many years to come.  PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Wedding photos restored from proofs

I have restored these old photos for Lorraine from the contact sheet proofs. Back in the day, photographers had to print small proofs for customers to choose from. These were then enlarged to be placed in a photo album. These contact proofs were from a medium format camera and still have a quite bit of detail. They were badly creased and cracked. After the photos were restored I was able to print out to regular photo sizes for Lorraine. Thanks Richard, they look great. - Lorraine PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. Google maps still shows the old location!!

I moved house about 6 months ago and so did PixelFIX Photo Restoration. So I informed Google and they promptly marked my business as CLOSED!! this seems ridiculous and confusing to other users. I complained and was told that it would eventually fall off the map as the new location was taking over. But here is the situation after 6 months, a search in Google maps for PixelFIX show this.  PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Restore and remove

Diane asked me to restore this wonderful family photo so that it could be enjoyed by her family once more. The photo is actually a copy made on Kodak dye sublimation printer, which has started to delaminate and crack all over the surface of the image. If left un-restored it would eventually peel away from the backing paper and disappear forever. You may also notice that in the restored photo, the little boy sat down in the background on the left has been removed to clean up the photo. Removing backgrounds

Rhea came to me with a very specific set of requests. The first photo below is the original she sent me and then I produced the final restored image that met the requirements. If you have anything specific that you would like to change or have restored in a photo then please contact me as Rhea did and list your requirements. I will always try my utmost to meet the brief where possible. R. Could you please provide me a quote to do the following with the attachment: 1. Remove male subject from photo 2. Brighten/lighten the female subject 3. Crop female subject so that the bottom of the photo is just below the V-neck line of her shirt 4. Change background (not sure what but value your suggestions – I visualize a light background?) 5. Semi-gloss finish 6. I don’t require a printed image, just a high quality jpeg file (approx. 1mb) PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Click

Historical photos look great again

Kath asked me to clean up this old family photo from what looks to be early 20th century, if any one has a better idea about the date I would be grateful to know. I converted it to black and white before restoring and cleaning up the sky area and added some more contrast and clarity to make this old photo shine again. Making a channel selection mask

This is a quick and dirty tutorial on making a mask from a single colour channel in Photoshop. Below is a B&W photo that needs some restoration, it has some bad damage on it. Most of the damage is the redish discolouration. So in order to fix just this area it would be real handy if we could make a mask of just that area so we can correct it. Fortunately there is a way. Step 1. Use the channel mixer adjustment layer to highlight which channel has the damage, using the red green and blue sliders. Step 2. Switch to the channel palette and copy one of the colour channels (doesn't matter which as the image is now B&W.) Step 3. Make the copied channel a selection.  Step 4. Apply this selection as a mask to any adjustment layer on your original image.  PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Restore Colour Photos to Black and White

Colour photos can be affected badly by age or by breaking down of chemicals in the paper. Sometimes the easiest and most inexpensive solution is to turn the discoloured photo into black and white. This method if used correctly and with some careful use of the channel mixer adjustment layer in Photoshop, will remove the discoloration and give an nice evenly toned black and white image. Like the example below. This Photo is from   PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15. The restoration and manipulation specialists. Click here for 'fancy view'
