A lot of older images were displayed in oval frames. As this was the fashion of the day. But this leads to many cut up images. This lady needed some repair and also to be made whole again. Vignetting was used heavily back in the day, and so this image has continued with that theme.
Rectangular images can be framed a lot more easily, and can therefore be enjoyed more often. Have a great weekend everyone.
