Restoring photos with photoshop

Happy Friday to all, this is not a 'how to' guide. Rather just a peek at some of the layers I use when restoring an image. The original image is never altered, this is part of the magic of Photoshop. Layers of different alterations are laid on top of the original to achieve the desired result. Below is an example of some of the different layers used.

Restoring badly torn photograph

This has to be one of the most satisfying restorations done to date. The original was torn into many pieces and required extensive Photoshop work to be painstakingly pieced back together. The original scan was the key to making this a successful restoration and invisibly repairing the ripped pieces into one full image again. PixelFIX - Photo restoration and photos repaired, from $15.
